I grew up surrounded by women and most of my dearest friends are women. I was/am and will continue to be intrigued by the drive of women. When boys play "cobs and robbers" girls are playing realistic games, they imagine themselves as mothers and tend their dolls and have meaningful conversation on their play tea cups. A drive and vision of a woman is super amazing. Even the influence of a woman is remarkable. We can see this from as early as biblical times; with the influence of Eve and how she influenced Adam to eat the forbidden fruit and how Sarah influenced Abraham to sleep with her Servant Haggai. In my matric year I was invited to view some interhouse plays of my sister school and was blown away with the theme of their plays that year which highlighted the struggles of women and how they conquer and overcome. I was blown away by the hardships women encounter yet their resilience and strength gets them through. Women go through so much hardships and pain BUT are each others enemies. why??
Why do women allow themselves to be each others prey, competition and enemies. Why is it that women continue to suffer alone when their strength, vision and drive? Women continue to be enemies and constantly bring each other down. Baffles me how women can allow a MAN to cause division and conflict among them, yet the man continues to be free of worry and drama. The toxic attitude women carry against each other is so stupid. If women only knew HALF of what they were capable of, women would be so far. You ladies go on about "Girl Power", what power hun? Do you call backstabbing and hurting each other power? A woman will deliberately go into a relationship with a man who has someone. Where's the power in that? Amazing how women are quick to spot a man as the enemy when they themselves are enemies to each other. You baffle me when you say "wathint'umfazi, wathinti'mbokodo" really? when all you do is throw iimbokodo to each other.
I founded an initiative a few years ago and is still in motion because of a woman. The CEO of MS productions had bigger vision than I, the founder. She took the initiative to bigger heights in MONTHS. It took me a year to get a logo but took her a few months to set up radio interviews, news paper spreads and so much more. I've seen what women are capable of doing it's sad that they don't. In my matric year, my sister school Clarendon Girls High had 100% matric pass rate we as boys did not. Do not get me started on the number of distinctions they produced. When women are a force and decide to make things happen, they dominate! I may be pursuing a degree in the legal field but my heart is in the arts and I am excited of the initiative I will be beginning in my home city East London this August to unite women in the arts. I believe in women, I KNOW what they are capable of. The women in Arts initiative will hopefully bring and bind ladies who share in the passion of performing arts and make them fully understand that they have the power to do anything if they UNITE. Umntu'ngumntu Ngabantu, stop trying to succeed alone and stop being each others enemies. Women unite damnit!
