...And in other news...
Great views from my bedroom have me inspired to take time off and write this blog. I sat in a constitution lecture this morning and thought about the new act the new SABC CEO wants to impose on journalists and then I rushed off to a politics lecture and was surprisingly still haunted by the very same thought... But before I get my nerd on and bore you with current affairs lets be silly for a moment.... I'm kind of peed off... I'm peed off because I spend 12 years in school (excluding my current years in varsity) trying to obtain a Matric Certificate, while people get in top positions right under my nose who don't even have matric... No... I know who you're all thinking of... I actually love my president you know, honestly stop it! but on the real, the new SABC CEO doesn't have matric?? I'm hacked. Not because the big guy doesn't have matric but because I spend horrible years (sometimes) in school to obtain my matric and still, I am jobless! ok sure, I'm a student and I do this and that to earn a living but hey... people just know the right kinda people and make it to the top. And furthermore, lying about your qualification seems to be the norm nowadays. People lying about having a degree with UNISA... Then UNISA is on some "hau mfethu, what are you on about?? we dont know about ever granting you a degree" kanjalo nje... LIVE! During the people... abahlali bajongile tata... I'm not mentioning any names, if you know about SA current affairs, you'll catch on... ok! IN OTHER NEWS, I must applaud our new National Broadcaster (SABC) for a very smart idea... He's actually spot on; the CEO feels it's a great idea to have journalists practice their journalism with a license. This means that they cannot attend press conferences, publish/write articles or release any tabloid/news without a license! Joy!! public figures are now protected. I feel it's a great idea. I mean, I'm tired of opening a newspaper to bias and sometimes rude writers who enjoy writing garbage about people just to sell papers... I cannot believe that no one spoke up about this before. Journalism will be at a whole more professional ball game in South Africa than before. People will write the truth and will put thought before dirtying a name of someone, and we the readers will start receiving good and fair news. Halala new CEO! And if journalists give you a hard time about you having no matric then tell the journalist to show you their licenses!!
